Who Tests the Test-Writers???

From an email I wrote yesterday:

"I'm sitting at work here at school where I have a work-study position in the Alternative Learning Division. I mostly sit around reading or surfing the net, but sometimes I read tests to students who need help. I have a test right now that I'm supposed to read out loud onto tape for a group of students in a basic writing course where they are to correct a grammatical error in each problem sentence given. Funny thing is, the instructor tells them in the directions that if they don't follow the directions, they will automatically "loose" five points!

Today, although I wasn't scheduled, I had an hour before class so I stopped in to see if I could get an hour in. Kristin, my super, said sure - if I wanted to read a test onto tape that that would be great.

It was another Nursing exam, and I hate to say this, but half-way through I started giggling and I had to stop the tape and leave the room. It's just weird having to read out loud and then hear on tape me asking multiple-choice questions about vaginal discharge that looks like milk curd.
